Here's the Xpel pattern kit for the Supra. Lots of pieces. The exposed seams are minimal imo... you're talking an 1/8" when seen in some areas. Near 100% coverage.
For a cleaner look, I didn't have the park sensors or side reflectors cut out (on the bumpers) for my application since those areas...
~ The hood should be bulk ... if I recall 72" square (huge piece)... As for the bumper, Xpel pre-cut kit. My car is in complete Xpel pre-cut less the hood.
~ My personal car has none of these noted stretch marks or heat gun scared areas. This is unfortunately due to poor installation and / or lack of experience with ppf. You shouldn't have any marks in the film period.
As for the guy who's watched hours of ppf videos... you might as well throw...
Personally I'm not a fan of the stretched look. Gives me the impression one could only afford the wheels but not the appropriately sized tires.
Some ppl think it looks cool to have the widest rim possible and the smallest width tires to clear the rear quarter panels edge/lip. Looks like curb...
So much better.
I love the finger pic... so true for they put up a fight and then to remove the old adhesive in a very tight space. Oh those fingers get sore. A nightmare but worth it in the end.
~ The cost was 6500. But don't shop just price ... secure a high quality installer and always request to see the same installers prior recent work (not just the shops work). Not all installers are created equal. This is an art imo. You'll typically get what you pay for.
The product is only as...
I would have a leather specialist re-dye (repaint it). It will be like new again... I've done this with my daily (GTI). Looks new again and lasts. They also can stay away from the grey stitching. Costs about $150.
This is the one I have... it's small and discrete enough for my liking. I intentionally mounted it on the passenger side of the rear view mirror... not even visible from the driver seat. Just over $125 with the hardwire kit, filter lense and SD card.
I remember... Great to hear from you! ?
Mine is finally paid off and title in hand. Sitting at 9,500 miles and now 3.5 yo. Keeps it special with each sunny drive. And I'm still loving it as much as the day I took delivery!
