I had my stock exhaust tips powder coated in a satin black about a year ago … they have held up perfectly and blend much better in black with the lower rear bumper. Cleans up the overall appearance imo. Cost $100.
They slip off fairly easily when tapping the backside edge with a rubber mallet.
~ This is also what I experience… the plastics at the b pillar or small side window rubbing together. I need to pull the plastics and add thin double sided tape that has felt or foam on the contact edge to eliminate these.

As you mentioned in your thread… the leather cover divider I designed made the difference I was looking to achieve. My primary goal was to hide items stored in the hatch from my peripheral vision while cutting down on the road noise.
