I used a paint gauge on a brand new Supra on the showroom and the rear quarter was repainted. I pulled back the rubber bits and sure enough… tape lines and compound. I passed and bought another new one elsewhere. It happens.
That’s strange.
Truly looks like it may have been a red or yellow bumper repainted silver.
The ‘fisheye’ in the paint is a tell tell sign of a respray… perhaps before you bought it.
Finally I found a wheel in a clean silver design (I’ve never been a fan of black wheels). I think they look great against the Tungsten Silver paint.

One of the key factors to me… I rarely see another Supra on the road in Ohio… this makes the car extra special and unique… in addition to it’s great looks and performance!
~ I did so quite sometime ago. I had it custom made to close off / separate the two spaces. Now I don’t have to see the junk in my trunk in my peripheral vision.
