I went from the stock 19" to 20" and added oem sensors. I went through the same process (had to note the revised tire and rim size). The system cycled as you described... after driving about 3 miles and all registered accordingly without any further issues.
I would guess perhaps a sensor is...
~ Once you have an M3 or MB with supple napa leather all else is subpar I guess.
Great call on the clean up for tracking the car etc with the heavy duty vinyl for 409 clean up. ?
~ I wish the leather seat material was higher end... truly feels like an industrial vinyl imo.
The performance and exterior looks more than make up for it.
~ you can buy a complete set of new oem 4 take-off wheels (rims, tires and tpms) for less than 1k. and then most finance this up charge and pay much much more. just sayin. ?
Or you could go ape sh*t crazy and add blue painters tape at the dealer when new. I just wanted to get home chip free (1 hour drive) so I could ppf (clear bra - xpel) the entire car without any flaws.

I used the roll on protection 'Road Warrior Plus' for a friends new car... it worked great. Dries fairly clear... peals off when you want to remove it.
Between 4-5.5 mills seems to be the norm for most cars.
I’m a perfectionist so I wrapped my entire Supra in Xpel aka ppf. No regrets and money well spent for an over the top car guy.
Some say they will just repaint it when it gets chipped up… that hurts the value imo and chips even easier with...
I’ve purchased KW coilovers in the past was wasn’t impressed for a bmw m sport wagon. Now in all fairness these were the V1 version and they bottomed out and had to be rebuilt under warranty. Ended up switching to a better Koni set up.
I’ve heard good things about the V3 KW’s.
~ I went through the same thing on a prior MB coupe I owned. I was fortunate enough that my optometrist provided me with a written doctors note stating my eyes were light sensitive and required a lightly tinted front windshield. The insurance company stepped up with this note and covered the...
