I've been new car shopping for a while now, and the Supra was always on my short list. Other vehicles on my short list were the new M240i / M2, the new GR86, a 718 Cayman, and a few of the electric jobs.
I ruled out every electric car due to their heft and driving feel... the ones I test drove...
Here near me dealers still have 2022's on their lots unsold due to stupid markup/addon prices. For Toyota to be slow-walking the 2023's out is not a shock to me really.
My deposit went in in mid July, but I'm the one and only Supra deposit at the dealership. The concern I have is that while the dealer took my deposit and has drawn up a purchase agreement for MSRP (so I roughly know what I'm going to be paying, with the actual final cost a little floaty due to...
I'm in that same boat. My dealer basically tells me the same thing every allocation cycle: "We don't see any 2023 Supras in the system yet. We keep preferencing your car, but have no indication they will be available any time soon."
Will they be worth a premium over any other 2023 manual Supra? Probably. Will they recoup the astronomical markups some dealers are asking? Probably not.
I mean, these aren't one of ten limited edition supercars... they are option packages on commonly available sports cars. My guess is they...
The only AT cars I've seen people report allocations for are the new Stratosphere Blue cars. My guess still is that they are only putting out the "new" cars, the A91 limited edition cars and the new blue color cars, and everything else will follow on later.
Thanks for the referral, but I'm waiting on a Nitro Yellow 3.0 Premium. I've had a deposit and preference in at a local dealer since July with the promise of MSRP with no markups, so I'm more or less waiting it out.
My guess is when I start seeing people mentioning the 2023 Nitro Yellows being...
I'm also haunting threads like this trying to get a gauge for delivery times if my preference ever gets an allocation.
As Tom Petty once sang, the waiting is the hardest part.
I was watching it months ago but it dawned on me that the chances of me actually buying one for MSRP was slim to none, so I stopped paying attention to the M2 and switched my interest back to the Supra.
I feel like my odds of actually getting my preference filled for a Supra are ten to twenty...
I am no car market expert (however I did stay at a Holiday Inn once), but it seems to me we are probably at the high water mark for the car market. I don't expect things to get worse from this point forward... but here by me the used market is still fubar. And the, shall we say "desirable" new...
I imagine if the cover sat flush then it might not matter all that much if it was padded, so long as it covered the holes preventing stuff like elbows from going in them. I imagine something with black textured plastic that matched the other black plastic on the dash and center console.
For an...
Curious how the insert surround at the 6 o'clock position on the steering wheel is silver... is that new? I don't ever think I've seen that part done up in silver like that.
Its also odd that that press release link lists Nitro Yellow as a "premium color" but doesn't say the same for Stratosphere Blue, even though both are a dollar cost add.
Dumb question but is Motoman a US based YouTuber or a Euro based one? I've seen it mentioned in a few different places that the CU Later gray is NOT a special color over in Europe, only here in the US.
Is there anything in writing in your sales documents that specifically say the spoiler was NOT included and that you were not charged for it? If there is, then that is probably the dealer's escape clause for not putting one on for you.
I seem to recall the 2021 A91's having a similar issue with...
I personally wouldn't like the idea of buying something that is not currently able to be transferred into my possession on completion of the transaction. I mean, what happens if the car is damaged while in transit? Or stolen? Whose problem is it then? They work all this paper on you for...
