  1. Will all Toyota dealers be able to service Supra? / Serviced at BMW Dealer vs Toyota Dealer?

It started with the car having problem deleting transport mode from all modules during PDS. It also had problem with navigation activation. Earlier before PDS, it also wouldn't unlock doors and start (not a battery problem). Long story short, it was diagnosed with a faulty BDC and after...
  2. Will all Toyota dealers be able to service Supra? / Serviced at BMW Dealer vs Toyota Dealer?

IMO, ability of a small Toyota dealer to provide service or repair for a Supra would be highly limited; from the status of stock of fast-moving parts to trained technicians. Obviously an oil change doesn't take much more than the ability to follow instructions. So far, the more complicated...
  3. How long has your Supra been in the shop so far?

Nope, I don't want another, I'm done. The replacement BDC made it worse and the car was dead with it (hatch wouldn't open, engine wouldn't start, etc.). This is just a car and not a space shuttle, it's scary that they don't know how to fix it.
  4. How long has your Supra been in the shop so far?

My car has been in the shop since September 5. The car wouldn't go through PDI process completely. After several attempts by FTS, long wait on a Body Domain Controller, and inability to fix it, it's in the process of "repurchase", i.e. it's now a lemon. The whole thing is nothing but a giant...
  5. Making my own strut brace

Is there enough space to weld in a cross brace closer to the strut towers granted that the engine cover is removed?
  6. Making my own strut brace

Are the LH and the RH braces identical?
  7. My favorite cheap cosmetic mod

Make sure the caps are not made of different metal than the valve stem. Apply a light coating of light oil on the threads to keep corrosion away.
  8. What 18" specs are you having trouble finding?

Slightly off topic. Does MRR still carry MK1?
  9. Oil Filter Part #

The filter comes with an O-ring and a (soft metal) crush washer. Wonder if the 90118-wa019 was an redundant.
  10. Will 20X10.5 work on the front?

Which one is closer to the strut housing, the tire or the wheel?
  11. Battery Maintainer Wiring?

On my C6 Z06 (battery located in the right rear corner), I ran a modified Battery Tender pigtail through one of weather-resistant passages in the rear trunk wall and routed it to one of the openings above the rear license plate. I drilled a small hole in the top right corner of the license plate...
  12. Looking into buying a Supra. Should I get it?

Personally, I wouldn't get rid of the Nismo 370Z. I own an '11 370Z Sport and I know what the Nismo version drives like.
  13. Paint Protection Film on all Supras / OEM PPF?

    Nope, it's not a dealer-installed option.
  14. Precollision Detection and Springs

The system depends on the sensor and the camera heights among other parameters. Altering these parameters result in a different outcome of the system. There is the same warning for installing a TRD Pro grille on a non-TRD Pro Tacoma.
  15. Adapter to remove wheels

The socket for wheel locks is usually called the key. The locks are easily identifiable. Unsure what an adapter is.
  16. She's home!

    Congratulations! Ouch, front license plate.
  17. Tie Down locations.

Did you check for oblong slots in the undercarriage? If they exist, T-hook straps can be used. Where is the pick up point for the Supra?
  18. Battery replacement on new LE 2020?

Whatever you do, just be careful. The battery costs around $500 from a Toyota dealer.
  19. Xpel PPF issues?

I inspected the hood edges and I think my installer can tackle wrapping the edges especially the leading edge. There are a couple spots on the side edges where the land is too small, but I'll let him decide on those.
  20. Tire Pressure 4 versus 6 cylinder engine

Likely. I think the 4-cyl CG would be located more toward the rear of the car.
