The Turbosmart turbo and wastegate are on. It all fit nicely on the 6boost manifold.
Now it just needs a new dump and charge pipe made then ready for tuning.
Yours is manual though isn't it?
I think I've only run one 100-200 Dragy and that was on the way to the track on a damp road with wheelspin in 4th. Was great DA that day though.
Also I got told by the event organisers I needed to start an Instagram account as it's not really helpful linking to my unused personal instagram with old pictures of my kids when promoting events
So started this one

Because the car is working really well we have decided to mess with it.
The current turbo setup is an AMS Alpha 8 kit which uses a Garret 3582 with an internal wastegate which is operated by the OEM BMW electronic wastegate actuator.
In theory this is a good idea as it gives the ECU excellent...
I had an event at my home track of Wanneroo called Outpace the other week which was a mix of Time Attack, drifting and roll racing.
Was an awesome event, they even got some heavy hitters to come to Perth from overseas and over east.
Last year's WTAC winner Tanuki came and smashed the track...
I'm in the exact same position. We were going to swap the oil pump and check and refresh rod bearings.
But now thinking we may as well just build the engine and get a bigger turbo
Yep, I made 680whp through the stock catback for a couple of years with no issues.
I changed to a custom 3.5" for weight and diffuser fitment. Didn't make much difference to the power at all.
Thought I'd share a couple of pics from a recent static event just because I like how it looks.
Looking to do some testing and set up throughout Feb and have two Time Attack events planned for March.
I haven't had a chance to dial in the car and set up the new suspension.
Need to book some private track time.
New splitter is now on so guess I'll find out soon.
All I know about DAW is they can make good power.
A local M140i just put on a DAW 6969(nice) and it made 841whp/1075nm, making over 800nm by 3500rpm.
Built engine and gearbox.
