  1. Nug's Time Attack Car

Bit to catch up on here, title is not really relevant as the car doesn't see the street much anymore. Decided to go to World Time Attack challenge in Sydney, I initially didn't get accepted, then 3 months later got bumped off the waitlist so was a bit of a scramble to get everything ready. We...
  2. TBK's Time Attack Build: MK-BRX

I'll let you know when I get back on track. The wing is nice but not DRS.
  3. TBK's Time Attack Build: MK-BRX

I should update my build thread.
  4. TBK's Time Attack Build: MK-BRX

I just received my Nitrons R3s yesterday, they are beautifully made. Spring rates were supposed to be 16kg front (895lb/in) 17kg rear with true coilovers. (951lb/in) But they sent me a divorced rear spring set up so asking them what's up before I install. I currently have 24kg (1343lb/in)...
  5. Race Tracking Your Supra - Information exchange

Exactly, felt sticky unwinding the wheel. These are the ones my shop 3d printed. Has been fine ever since.
  6. Race Tracking Your Supra - Information exchange

I run the Verus ducts with 18x11 fronts with 295/35 A052s. You definitely want rack limiters but I found the Verus supplied ones bound up inside the rack. My mechanics 3d printed some which included o-rings. We tried to pass the design onto Verus but they weren't interested.
  7. Better Solution for an Intake Duct

I'm already using the 3d printed one. Still interested in this option as it looks so much neater.
  8. Race Tracking Your Supra - Information exchange

I recently drove 4000kms/45 hours from Perth to Sydney to do WTAC. There is a whole lot of nothing (apart from thousands of dead kangaroos) in the middle of Australia 🤣 Next year I'm getting the car ready earlier and getting it trucked across and flying.

I'd go with a kit with a proper brand name turbo eg Garrett. As we discussed elsewhere I'm running the Alpha 8 kit which uses a Garret 3582 at around 680whp without heat issues, Probably wouldn't recommend the kit at this point though as the wastegate set up is finicky and the turbo is a...
  10. Show me your Aim solo mounting solutions

Did you have any issues with sattelite reception mounting it there? I'm just using a dual windscreen mount with the Solo2Dl and smartycam at the moment, but I found the Solo struggled to pick up sattelites unless it was right at the front fo the dash.
  11. Basic Engine build

My car is pretty much 100% a track/time attack car now. It's been running at 680whp on e85 for three years and the last oil change was a bit sparklier than I would like. Thinking it's time to to do a basic engine build for longevity sakes. Not looking to make crazy power but don't want to...
  12. Razorlab - 2020 LE build thread

Are you going to add any reinforcements? I was running the Verus high DF splitter for the first time last weekend and it bent and started to crack the lower crash bar. We made a quick hardware store trip for rivnuts, eye bolts and threaded rod and did the reinforcements trackside.
  13. Race Tracking Your Supra - Information exchange

My local track is pretty power firendly, two long straights and mostly slow corners. I was faster than a 992 GT3RS when my Supra had 680whp, no aero and pretty basic track mods. The driver of the GT3 is a much better driver than me as well, hes a good 1.5 seconds a lap faster when we've raced...
  14. Race Tracking Your Supra - Information exchange

The diffuser is pretty special as well. We initally built a centre exit rear exhaust section to get past it, then realised it's not legal for WTAC Clubsprint.
  15. Race Tracking Your Supra - Information exchange

Best to talk to them about pricing as mine was one of the first and I had to wait a fair while for the mounting kit to be made. Everything was amazing quality though. The mounting kit came with jigs for drilling, and has bracing down to the chassis rails.
  16. Race Tracking Your Supra - Information exchange

Car is just about ready for WTAC. Now has a mix of Verus front Aero and Sydney Composites wing and diffuser. Power is the same with 650hp at the hubs. Shaking down the set up over the next week and half then it's just a short 4000km drive to Sydney
  17. Race Tracking Your Supra - Information exchange

I solved it with a Radium surge tank mounted under the car. The whole fuel system was specced out by Zach at CSG.
  18. What did you do to your Supra today?

I haven't met Karl but have raced with his brother Chris here in Perth, really nice guy.
