The Z was never a Supra killer, just cheap horsepower. For someone who wants more push than a Miata or 86 but doesn’t want to spend 50k+ and need refinement. What can i say I’m a Supra-macist ?

Why do rumors of a manual Supra always sound like doomsday prophecies? Someone predicts a date, everyone freaks out, the day comes to pass, and nothing happens. Wash rinse and repeat. Please let me be wrong!
Agreed. I'm very happy they went this route with I6 and lighter body than heavy v6/v8 clunker. Even if they were to use heavy Lexus chassis people would scream about it not being I6. Can't please everyone but I'm thrilled with it. BMW partnership would only be a bad thing if the end result...

The new Z looks solid but doesn't quite compete on the Supra's level...never really has. Glad they're making it tho even if its not an all new platform
