I have had to do coolant related work on my car a few times now.
I have always bled it 3-4 times across 3-4 days with the auto bleeding procedures just to be safe
The boost leak would be coming from your charge pipe side.
The intake/turbo inlet side is the vacuum side.
Your smoke test pictures show a vacuum leak, I.e. Car taking in unfiltered air instead of boost leaking.
Ya my mechanical water pump starting weeping at 37k miles 😭
I got a new oem and it was full of burrs inside the coolant ports.
Maybe that's why my original pump went bye bye.
BMW quality control was 100% Yolo sending it with my pump.
Is it the electric low temp coolant pump? It's underneath the intake manifold closer to the steering rack.
This is the pump that directly interface with the Freon in the AC system to exchange head.
Or is the failure the mechanical pump in front of the car driven by the belt?
Either way, the...
I brought my ecu in person it they did it in 10 minutes. You don't need to book anything, you don't even have to pay before hand, I saw people just walking up and doing all the payment and info on the spot.
Hey guys, i got some noob questions again!
I went through the early pages of this threads when Razarlab was referencing BM3 and tried to match the BIN parameters to MHD.
My results are below, could you guys help me find the parameters i couldn't match and give me some pointers if there are any...
Hey guys, I have been learning to read logs and figure out MHD tuning. So thank you all for the amazing write ups!
I'm using ColonelAdama data log in the last post to learn, and I have a few questions.
MHD+ WGDC Base (%) is the commanded duty cycle in the bin file right?
Then is WGDC 1(%)...
That's interesting fcp euro wrote it like that.
I was following this from ZF and it's specifying torque based on oil pan material instead of the screws material
Hey gang!
There was a coolant pump seized code when the dealership scanned my car.
But there was no check engine light, it was dangerous as hell because my Intercooler temp could have been terrible.
The low temp circuit coolant pump was broken!
Once the low temp coolant pump was replaced, the...
That looks awesome!
I have a silly question, how do you go about estimating the down force? Do you somehow monitor the suspension travel at some constant vehicle speed and back tracked the down force from that?
I'm super interested in your work!!
You might have to disconnect the lower hoses of the 2x axillary radiators that are part of the high temp circuit too just to get all the old coolant out
I only got about half the coolant capacity of the low temp circuit out when I drained it at the radiator hose.
I also got half the coolant capacity of the high temp circuit drained as well.
A lot of the coolant remained in the radiators and heat exchangers.
Hello!
Does anybody know the part number for the Oring on the radiator coolant hose as shown here?
This is the hose for draining the low temperature coolant circuit
