Just a question with in the thread of questions, does down pipe without a tune lead to a possibility for boost creep? Or can the stock ecu tuning account for that extra increase in exhaust flow?
My AC started blowing hot air and then no air at all.
Took it to the dealer and they found that the low temp circuit coolant pump had seized.
The low temp circuit pump pumps coolant to exchange heat with the AC freon.
Since that particular pump had seized my AC went bye bye :(
Hello guys!!
I have a question about preventative maintaince on my car.
I am looking to drain the high temperature cooling circuit at the radiator hose location and put new coolant in.
Is it a requirement to vacuum fill the high temperature coolant circuit after I drain it?
Then run the...
Maybe there is a leak between the BMC filter and the top half of intake box?
Next oil change you can send it out for the UOA and see if the dirt was detectable in your oil.
Other than that, you can also smoke test the intake system to see if it's leaking somewhere for sure.
If there is a...
I thought the same about the oil analysis. I didn't understand how I was suppsed to use the information provided by Blackstone... And it doesn't look like Blackstone knows what I should do either since they stated to send more samples in the future.
I spent a bit of time stratching my head...
I
I only waited 2 hrs.
The reason I'm checking is because Blackstone suspect there is a coolant leak in my oil from my previous 2 analysis
Its kinda a bizarre situation, not sure what to do or if it's an actual problem
Hello all,
I did a coolant pressure test today on my high circuit reservoir.
I started with around 1.5bar per the manual, and after 2 hours the pressure dropped to 1.4bar.
I'm not sure how to interpret the manual, but is this pressure lost an acceptable rate/mount?
I was thinking the...
It's air coming back out via the filter.
You can hear the same woosh sound when lifting off throttle in a non turbo car.
Just due due to differential pressure when the charge pipe and plenum has higher pressure than atmospheric.
What does yours sound like?
If you just idle until Rev drops, shutoff, and listen to the exhaust side near turbo.
I put a stethoscope, poked around, and I hear the noise the loudest in these components :
Downpipe, exhaust manifold, waste gate.
I'm not conclusive as whether the rapid tick...
The length of tick depends on how long I idle the car.
If I idle and let the Rev drops, the tick lasts around 15-20 seconds.
If I just idle for 5 seconds, the tick lasts for just as long.
The tick seems independent of sleep mode, it just does it after shutdown.
Even with the engine cover off...
I'm not familiar with the B58 motor but I think that is the system that controls different lift for the cams.
Do you think you can turn your car on, idle it until the Rev go down, and see if it makes the same tick noise close to your exhaust?
