Wow the 350hp 370Z Nismo ran a 1:17 which is even slower than the 228hp GR86 1:15.90 despite power to weight ratio and track upgrades favoring the Nismo ????
Nope I only wanted a 1.2 to 1.4f/1.2-1.4r spring so it was between this one, US Eibach and the Super Downs for me. H&R has a weird drop to my eyes. The only one that was in stock was Vogtland at the time.
I think the Z vs Supra debate can be summed up by two other sports cars. The Miata vs S2000. The Miata was always more of a softy small GT sports car with its stock or sport suspension setup(Z) while the S2000 was more of a semi hardcore sports car with a more flat and sharper handling...
The Z finally gets a review with an edge over the Supra. I find it hilarious how many reviewers can have differing views. It could be based on what one feels is more for them.
I finally decided to go tint. I went with legal tint 32% front and 20%
rear window and the tiny rearside glass. I actually prefer this look because I was never in to the really dark look ?
Wouldn't the Verus vent or a vented hood have more of a greater affect than the upgraded manifold? On my boosted 300whp 86 I used to have with a Varis vented hood I went on a mountain run with stock 86's(170whp) and when we got to the top they were all amazed that my engine bay temps were...
The Z's gearbox from the 370/350 had many owners complaining about gearbox grinding. However I've seen people complain about the same thing with other makes like the 86 and some other sporty cars. I'll stick to my ZF8 box.
I traded in a boosted 86 with 300whp for my Supra and I must admit that I loved it and loved it even more after coilovers, brakes, wheels and tires and the turbo upgrade. With the Supra just tweaking the suspension with springs, roll bars and alignment made it perfect for me and I don't ever...
I like how our cars make 30whp/60wtq more while having the inferior power on paper lol
183 lbs more( manual) with a horrible weight distribution by contrast.
Mark was trying so hard to make the Z sound better. but his co presenter and the race car driver sided with the Supra. The biggest nonsense is when he said "you feel like you are sitting on top of the Supra by comparison". Also he never liked the Supra being BMW built.
