Well I did my track day today after changing the fluid for RBF660 yesterday, and I gotta say I had absolutely zero problems with the stock pads.
Now I'm not a pro racing driver by any stretch of the imagination but I've done loads of track days and felt like I was being pretty hard on the...
I've only seen these Winmax ones and the Counterspace Garage ones for sale so far, so I don't think many people have changed them out yet. Maybe there's others that I've just not seen but I did have a good look around on google the other day and couldn't find anything other than CSG ones at the...
That's interesting that the bottom one is steel. I was talking to a friend about me making my own version of the engine bay strut brace like I mentioned and he said he'd suggest using aluminium for that and said that it looks like the cusco one is aluminium too. Seems weird they'd make the...
I measured the thread pitch the other day and they are definitely 1.25 but I didn't measure length or diameter (from other articles I've seen I believe they are M14 diameter though). If the length is important, I'll measure mine on Monday. 26mm sounds a bit too short to me though.
FWIW, I saw someone do a dyno run in this car without any air filter in at all, and it didn't make any more power than the previous run with the stock air filter in
front strut brace seems like a good idea, might make my own version of that.
The rear one on the underneath though... looks pretty much identical to the stock brace?
We didn't bother taking the whole coilover out of the car on the front, so didn't do that bit. Just undid the top nut in the engine bay, disconnected the wiring and brake line holder near the coilover , then loosened one of the lower control arm bolts. That gives you enough movement on the...
Installed these on mine the other day. Definitely no codes thrown (as others have explained, you're not touching any electronics).
Note that the instructions do tell you to cut off one of the parts of the factory bump stop though, which is not something I was aware of when buying them. Not the...
I like making things myself so I want to make my own downpipe rather than just buying one off the shelf.
So first thing I need is a V band flange on the end of my downpipe that will mate up with the turbo's V band flange... and apparently its not just your average V band. For a start its got a...
I envy you haha the V band on our EU ones isn't even just your average V band... its just some weird kind of bevel on the end of the pipe. Spoke to a shop here that has made a downpipe for this car and they said it was a pain to make. Not only could they not find an off the shelf part for the V...
This is not actually true, even though it seems like it makes sense. I've seen experiments where the only thing they change is downpipe size, and they get better and better performance the larger downpipe they used (even though it goes back to smaller exhaust after the downpipe). They even ended...
One thing to also consider is what style of connection your car has between the downpipe and the rest of the exhaust. For some reason some cars have just a regular bit of pipe with a ribbon clamp, and some have another V band at that end.
I think all EU cars that have the V band style (I'm in...
