In addition to minimal front camber, he's running stiff sway bars and upsized rear tires. I can only imagine that he is probably plowing through corners, aggressively braking to get the front to grip, then aggressive on the throttle getting the rear to sort of grip before snapping when he lifts...
There are guides to taking apart the side mirror and cap as well as disassembling the door to get to the connector from the mirror.
Very frustrating!!!
I ended up removing the door panel and the mirror to get to the connectors… i cleaned and dried everything out and used 99% isopropyl alcohol to clean all the connectors.
Then i placed the car outside in direct sun for a day.
a few days later the door and windows were working.
Hope this helps!
How does bracing the diff to the subframe compare to the chassis brace to the diff like the z4? (If I understand the new supra brace change.) What potential downsides and considerations for bracing the diff to the subframe?
Appreciate everyone’s input and comments here and elsewhere in the...
Would anyone know and how to obtain the replacement oem parts of the US final edition, specifically the front wheels spats and front fender lips and the rear duckbill spoiler? Would these be eventually searchable on toyoto part websites or better yet orderable? Maybe through some of the Japanese...
Welcome to the world of garages, trailers and trucks. :) first it was the 996 gt3,, then it was the 997 gt3 and the world was good... then people said screw it, gave up and bought the gt3rs and a Denali. ?
Wow. I'm in awe. Seriously, you guys are amazing - such a great asset to the community - thank you. This is the detailed quantitative information we need to balance our qualitative analysis. :) Thank you.
Is the Whitelines the same dimensions and the farthest adjustment hole the same length as oem?
If so, then at that setting, the increase in stiffness would be primarily due to the solid construction.
I’ll wager Razorlab knows the increased stiffness of the Whitelines bar vs oem!? I can’t find...
1. definitely looking for a slightly increased stiffer front sway bar - for wet, rain conditions, I'm hesitant to increase the front stiffness greatly. I'll wait and see what the engineers offer on the US final edition as "stock" upgrade ie oem+
2. a. dangerous - sway bar? yes, you dial out the...
Done.
About an 1/8th inch rotation - less than a 1/16th of a circle - tighter.
It's feels about 5% increased resistance or preload - no slop in the wheel now. I like it - a lot.
I drive with normal steering in sport individual mode - I don' t like the more damped feeling of the steering rack...
If I could get your opinions, do you guys know what the diameter of the incoming US Final Edition Supra's front sway bar will be - and hollow vs solid?
I was looking at the Whitelines which is 24mm diameter with 2 settings as an option too!
Thanks!
Thank you for this. Can sport 2 also be adjusted as I prefer normal steering over sport steering as normal steering has better feedback in my opinion!!
Is there a way to have 3 settings like:
normal
Sport 1
Sport 2
would like to have a normal mode for daily driving, sport 1 for sport mode but normal dampeners for bumpy roads then Sport 2 for sport dampeners for better roads…
Would ISTA have an option to adjust or calibrate the parking sensors? My front outer left somehow detects my tow hook license plate which has been placed extremely far back to almost the grill -like 1.5 inches than other supras with similar tow hook plates. Parking assistance is very useful.
