Even the BRZ I used to own came with shorter throws. I reached out to ECS Tuning/Tuner Motorsport about this back in January but they don't know of a local Supra that they can bring to their shop and work on. The M2/M4 short shifters they make might work on our transmissions but they can't do...
Mine took a good 15-20lbs pull to remove the first few times but then it became quite easy. I'm guessing something stretched with all the times I removed it to take measurements.
@APEXRaceParts I put in my pledge for the 18x11 SM-10RS but I was wondering if the 75mm studs would be enough to fit 3mm spacers. Would you guys know by any chance? Read on another thread that with wider tires it might be necessary to clear the liner so I wanted to make sure.
I still haven't been able to get the shape just right. Ends up fitting a bit off for some reason even though the outer profile seems to match up. I've also been a bit busy at work so that has held me back a bit. I did reach out to Sweidit to see if they know how to get a hold of the OEM bezel.
I believe he was doing 11s at 123ish. They didn't hand out slips at the event unfortunately.
How's your clutch holding up? Any drag or track events so far?
Would that also make the travel a bit shorter? I feel like I'm almost having to step on the road just to shift.
Also, would you know if there are any BMW clutches that could theoretically fit the supra? My buddy is putting down 610 Ft-lbs on his supra and the oem clutch is not liking it when he...
It sits quite flush on the sides rather than tucking beneath/into it. Still looks good because it flows smoothly from the knob to the boot rather than stepping up to the collar. I'll take a picture today cuz it looks like I forgot to take one when I was doing the test fit.
Going that route...
No clue on the specific gear.
The autos started to handle more torque after the tunes for the ZF came out but we're stuck with just waiting for a clutch to be available, OEM or not :banghead:. Would be nice if OS Giken came out with a nice twin plate, they typically handle good torque without...
I used one of the blades that I use on my razor and cut 3/4" from the bottom of the knob. I posted a picture a few comments above so let me know if you need any more information.
If you do end up tuning before getting a clutch I'd say try to target 550ft-lb max. Until more people start tuning we won't know the real limit but at least its under the only information I've been able to share.
A bit of an update on my friend's tuned A91-MT (500WHP 610Ft-Lb). He got the chance to go to the drag strip this weekend and the clutch started to slip on the top end. The car is not on the grippiest tires either so with radials it might start slipping even sooner. For now it looks like 550Ft-lb...
