I seen the car sitting there, had a quick glance and seen the gearstick and correct colour and assumed the rest was as ordered. Like I say, I hadn't had much sleep as flying home from offshore and wasn't really thinking clearly. Once I seen the car I jsut assumed the smaller details were...
Installed the battery cable to the engine bay battery charging points. The supplied clamps with the ctek were too big to connect and close the bonnet so I was able to use a torx socket and remove the positive and negative terminals so that the ring terminals could be secured. Now all I have to...
That bit of signing was may fault as I had jsut returned from offshore work and was really jet lagged so not thinking clearly.
However, the dealer had promised free insurance to get the car home, then on the day couldn't deliver, so I had to stand in the dealership and arrange insurance to...
Actually Iām getting annoyed as after several calls, the dealer had not replied. I decided to drive down and put them on the spot and they hadnāt really done much about it so I explained I wanted an exchange or the difference in money back.
Your car sounds like it could be like mine. I paid for...

400 miles on the clock and had a right scare s something punctured my back rear tyre..... huge thumping noise followed by the TPMS alarm flashing up on screen. Managed to pull over and luckily there was no body damage but the tyre was shredded.
Used the emergency air compressor and tyre foam...
I meant to ask, did you "run in" your engine, or jsut a hard break in?
Im babying mine up to 1200 miles and will probably do a first oil change then just to flush out any material from the break in.
After 300 miles now on the clock I canāt feel any change compared to how my reverse gear was at zero miles. However it does need a confident push in one go. I think itās so you donāt just gently pop it into first. Probably just the design as most cars you lift the gear knob or push down⦠this...
Just an update, the dealer has been really good and opened a support query with Toyota UK to investigate. At least he was decent and actually followed up and I didnāt have to chase itā¦.. will be interesting to see what Toyota say/do/offerā¦.. Iāll let you know when I know. Might even get some...
Thats what Im hoping.....
Strange it's been dropped after such a short run of sales. Perhaps not profitable/limited orders and Toyota decided to call time on it?
