I really, really love a beefy front sway bar on this car. Feels so responsive!
But I would say tires, wheels, and traction rods.
Edit: and diff lockdown.
Edit 2: and Amsoil blue ATF in the transmission.
Verus' instructions are overly difficult.
Just jack the engine up and pull them out per my post earlier in this thread.
I've removed and installed 3 different mounts this way, including Verus.
Downpipe can stay on. But would be good to unbolt the exhaust from it.
I recommend Permatex Orange. Its holding power is much higher than the blues, but can still be disassembled (with effort) using hand tools.
Red is perfectly fine if you absolutely never, ever want to remove it. But if there's even a 1% doubt, Orange is a great choice! It's especially good...
What are you tuned with? If your Reflex is integrated with MHD or Ecutek, both apps have live monitors and you can just add Eth% as a number to watch. If you're on BM3, it does not support integration with Reflex and I'm not sure there is a way to see the current percentage, because that...
CAN uses two wires, one positive and one negative, because CAN messages use differential signaling. The two wires operate at different voltages, and the difference between them is what allows signals to be transmitted, even when there is interference or voltage fluctuation on one or both wires...
The Pure solutions that use the OEM turbo housing will fit aftermarket intakes. But all of the larger mid-frame turbos won't fit well, or at all, because the turbo inlet is like 2x the size of stock.
But with some clever cutting and silicone couplers, you could probably jank this together...
This review was so compelling that I've contacted RMC for a similar setup. Will add my feedback here when all is said and done, if that's okay with @rwense?
Drain line works fine, and every turbo needs to be clocked. It is supposed to have a small "S" zigzag in it.
Source: I have this turbo, I clocked the cold+hotside to match my setup, and all was well. Have done the same for two other cars in Texas.
But for people who have never installed an...
1) I was referring to the AA comparison. If you're going to spend a premium to obtain a catted downpipe, then my view is that you should take that decision seriously and choose an option that will give you less hassle.
2) Complaints for 100 and 200 cpsi cats are abundant on forums for every...
It's cheaper because it uses an inferior catalytic converter with lower cell density. The MODE unit is a 200 cell cat, and 200 cell cats have a reputation for burning out prematurely due to insufficient material over the long haul.
My opinion is that 200 cell cats are basically junk, and a...
Those look m8 hardware. If so, the prescribed torque range for M8 hardware is about 36-55 ft-lbs. Low end of the range for grade 8.8, high end of the range for zinc-coated 12.9 grade. 40 is just about right if it's m8.
No. This is a common myth. Toyota's engineers are the dumbest engineers that ever lived. They don't know anything. They only care improving fuel economy and they're total idiots about tribology. 10W50 race oil is the only correct answer. Because science.
