I have the Omega 65 turbo. At the time, it was the first and only full-fat mid-frame turbo that installed in the OEM location and retained the OEM WG. To be clear: this is not a "hybrid" turbo that chops up the OEM design and stuffs it with a bigger comp wheel. This is a serious 6558 mid frame...
Maybe. I have another car with billet subframe bushings and Shore 60A diff bushings. The differential still howls, but it's quieter than full billet and only becomes particularly noticeable on deceleration. I do not know if the Supra chassis would respond in the same manner (e.g. different...
For whatever it's worth:
I have billet subframe and differential bushings. It noticeably improved the car's tendency to step out to the right. However, if you've never experienced the howling of ring and pinion gears: you will become intimately familiar, very quickly. Pretty much any RPM...
Thanks for corroborating. I casually loathe the brake feel on this car, and a BBK didn't do much to change that. The bite is great, but the pedal travel still sucks just like the day I got it: nothing, nothing, nothing, BRAKE.
I alternate weekends with the Supra and a Genesis Coupe to make sure...
I have high confidence everything is fine. This has been a hassle for you, I'm sure, but based on your report, I don't think any actual harm was caused.
Received the Xtrons unit. Going to be a few weeks before I can start working on this, as car is currently in the shop for some mod-related bodywork.
But I did start disassembly of the unit and we're absolutely going to need to 3D print some sort of enclosure. The screen has its own bezel/case...
Agree. Even a bone dry fuel system shouldn't take more than a couple cranks. Reading all of the posts in this thread, I'm suspicious of things like:
How faithfully was the BCM tap executed for that ethanol kit? Are there any intermittent connectivity issues? Are you 100% incontrovertibly...
It'll be no problem to use a 70mm. They're stretchy. Car will never notice the difference. It is surprising that the charge pipe having no connection to the turbo didn't throw a code. It should have thrown codes indicating that the expected boost PSI vs. measured boost PSI are way off from one...
Silicone couplers are industry standard sizes, typically measured in half inch increments in both length and diameter. All you have to do is measure what you have and buy another one from any auto parts supplier (e.g. Jegs). Angles are also standardized: straight (0°), 45°, 60°, 90° are most...
Shifting the black structural "skeleton" piece in the nose cone also dramatically changes bumper position. More than once, I've accidentally reinstalled it too high leaving gaps on the inside lower corners of the lights.
It's doable, but at my last search it's over $5000 in hardware, modules, and coding to make it work.
At least with this solution, we might only need a 3d-printed shroud and/or mounting bracket.
