Gonna hijack with a question. I have a 2019 ECU with a jb4 map 1 installed. should i go with MHD vs BM3 vs ecutek or just keep my jb4. ATM i only have an intake and a DP.
MHD OTS maps are better than BM3’s not by a dramatic amount tho. Fabian at Pureboost does all the OTS maps for MHD they are solid across the board and super smooth no funny stuff whatsoever. JB4 on the other hand that’s not smooth
I'm going to unlock the car and do a tune on BM3 soon. Then hopefully we get a comparo between JB4 map 2 and BM3 OTS map MT on 93. I would imagine that if he's only ahead by a car length before my tune I should be way ahead on BM3... If the clutch holds up
Finally got the car running again after 2 months, getting unlocked and tuning with bm3 next just running jb4 for now, installing upgraded transmission and driveshaft - 4-way suspension and more weight reduction still pending....

You’ll need an ethanol analyzer like Fuel-It, Visconti, BM3, etc.
Alternatively, You can calculate the ethanol blend at the pump after measuring the ethanol content of the e85 and mixing carefully. Jb4 does not sense ethanol content without additional hardware (fuel-it).
If that's all you want to do for mods (that's where I'm at) the jb4 works fine for a decent bump in power (map 6 Jesse tune).
I am assuming your buddy didn't try to tune before the unlock? That's going to be the main thing to know.
This is interesting data - thanks for sharing! I'm looking forward to hearing sound clips and reading the real-world experience people post here. I'm currently running the MSTv2 intake, and while I love the sound (and performance), the fitment is not what I expected and I imagine the heat soak...
Bootmod3 is a turning software that is used to reconfigure your ECU. You connect to your OBD port with phone/tablet/pc and an adapter and re-write the calibration on the ECU. You need to send your ECU to Femto in Finland to have the software loaded on it.

I would love to get JB4 with a custom tune from Jessi while im waiting for BM3 to release the customrom update. Unfortunately it seems JB4 even with a custom map is garbage on the manual supra.
will need ethanol and meth to get there on stock turbo with Jesses help. Will probably need to do same even with femto unlock, Jesse gets pretty damn close to mhd/bm3 numbers from what I have seen.
I decided to sell the JB4 since im pulling the trigger and going with BM3.
Comes padded so it wouldnt move around or get damaged but I can take it off if you like.
