I THINK those should be fine but let someone chime in on that. next thing if no codes id say battery.

battery could still be the issue but first get a scanner to do a full system scan if not let someone do diagnostic or it'll be guesswork.

is it a basic dtc scanner or full system scan?

pull codes. Car can go into limp mode for any number of reasons

try disconnecting battery for a bit and reconnecting if not resolved try scanning for codes. might say. Some bmw lights stay on all the time when the tail light assembly itself is going out.

you might be right. i remember people coding rear fog lights which eu already had it from factory. someone may have coded wrong to have them on all the time.
