My new, less than 30000km GTi in Germany failed the cyl 4 spark plug. Ignition failure with a broken plug electrode bouncing around in the cyl at 190km per hour lol. New motor. NO problems. Sold the car to a colleage who was more than happy VW placed new motor, with warranty and even replaced...

Generally that is the ONLY fix. A new motor. I have had zero issues with any BMW motor overall and never an oil use issue as well. Its a car, they have variance and they can be faulty. Every maker faces this. Overheating, oil use etc etc. Or never ending software issues lol.

What was the total added. More than likely you are within the spec BMW issues for oil use in a motor.
