I just did a Kooks resonator delete and muffler delete system with a boost logic downpipe over the last weekend. If you go catless it gets LOUD!!! I like it but not sure neighbors do lol. My only gripe with the system was the hangers dont fit the factory rubber pieces worth a crap, and the...
where I’m from yea all the hot cars are domestics and when you get into real drag racing as in sanctioned stuff like top alcohol, top fuel, pro mod, etc. it’s all domestic based. Though I own a Supra and like the car there is an attitude that is just insane with these forums. We should be here...
Whats the real world difference between 93 and flex fuel using a Visconti kit. The local station that sold e85 has moved to an 88 octane e20 blend. So its goingmto mean a drove or ordering something like ignite e90 and mixing with pump gas. debating just sticking to 93 and doing a turbo because...
you could google why asking a simple question gets met with obnoxious comments about google for me. Nothing like a group of like minded car guys helping each other out these days. I think this is why you import guys get a bad rap with real car guys that dont put stickers and giant freaking wings...
guys also i cant remember my exact build date on my car but thinking like 07/19-09/19 am i going to have to pull the dme and send it out to be unlocked?
but are the tunes one size fits all or do they tweak them to the owners liking? do i need the bluetooth dongle if im fine logging to a pc connected via usb(what im used to on my LSx stuff)
so for the ekutek stuff what all do i need? trying to get some parts ordered today if at all possible. the tuning is it normally a canned tune that then you log and its tweaked.
I am debating on just staying stock turbo, dp, full exhaust for sound, intake, tune, if doing this might go flex fuel but limit torque a bit to hope to save the trans. The second option to me is do a pure 700 or 800 and stay on 93 octane. More top end and around the same midrange torque.
These cars must pick up a ton from a tune then cause stock to stock the zl1 feels in a different league. What catless, down pipe does everyone recommend? How about an exhaust to add a lot of sound I see kooks actually makes stuff for these cars as well had great luck with kooks on my GM stuff
Justin thanks I did reach out and reply'd to your email. My big question and one others might be having if i want to keep a driveline alive and manage torque keep it to say 500wtq but carry it out further to make some steam up top with a pure 700, pure 800, or a complete aftermarket turbo can...
wasn't sure if there were quality or fitment differences that warranted the prices for some. I know the few folks ive been able to speak with pushed boost logic, or AMS.
I also assume it would be safe to just go ahead and buy an ecutek and vehicle license because im going to have to have it?
how about if we start with something simple. Like the down pipe i live in an area that catless is just fine. Is there any certain ones that are better than others? I assume i need to tune the car to even be able to put one on it? I know i would get a CEL for the back 02 sensor not readying...
I reached out to everyone mentioned just waiting to hear back. Never in my life found it so hard to spend 3 to 5k on performance parts as its proving to be with this car.
