I've not personally tried clay on my car, but from what I've researched because the matte paint is not smooth like glossy paint, and because the clay works by effectively removing the rough lumps on the paint, it will just catch in the roughness of the matte paint and get stuck in all the tiny...
I'm on about 1400 miles just now, was planning on getting a service at the 1 year mark in early Sept. Don't understand how they're recommending 2 years/20k miles. Will probably just get one yearly for peace of mind.
Small update to this thread, not driven the car much (1200 miles total) due to storing for winter then lockdown stopping travel, but the Gyeon Matte Ceramic is holding up well, I use the top-up product after each wash.
Normally snow foam with a generic foam, 2 bucket with grit guard with...
My main complaint with the car too. Hearing the US spec cars stock compared to any EU model is such a big difference. I wish they didn't have to kill the sound so much to keep in with the regulations somehow... How do the likes of Jaguar get away with it on the F-Type?
Didn't see where this code initially came from, but my idea for the first part could be 2022 S58.
MM1010219x58
MM = 2000 in Roman numerals, 10+10+2 makes it to 2022. S is 19th letter of alphabet, then the 58.
Maybe a 7 speed dual clutch with the S58 coming in 2022? You never know lol.
Mine sitting in the garage for now waiting for the salt to be gone!
Just under 1000 miles on it if I remember right. Will be pulling it out in the next month or so and jacking it up to get some rust preventer sprayed on the chassis just in case, then back to the garage until hopefully late...
I have both a 2015 GT86 and the new Supra. I love my Supra, it feels overall more "grown up" than the 86. More powerful, better build quality, better interior, nicer materials overall a more pleasant place to sit. The power is great, I love being able to pull the paddle a couple of times then it...
The Supra got properly snowed on this morning so might just have to put in garage this weekend... If you're around though I'd happily come along with my 86 (maybe Supra weather dependent!) if you're keen?
Great minds thinks alike, kept my 86 for winter too! Tried to get it out the garage last night to change over after the Supra got snowed on on Saturday, only to find the battery was dead... Onto the charger and try again tonight!
If we're doing a wee drive soon, might be in the 86 for this one...
Does time being held up before PDI could be completed because of missing parts count? If so I'm 1 week, but not had to go back for anything else, yet...
I know! Want to drive it but don't want to let grit and salt get in so soon... Planning to put away and change to the 86 for winter maybe this weekend, maybe next. I'm sure there's time for one last blast before then though!
I think there's a few other Scottish members on here but I think they stay further south.
Would it maybe be an idea to plan a bigger drive somewhere maybe in early Spring time and then people could plan more in advance for it, and maybe do the route at Cairn o Mount as just a quick drive...
I'm keen! Is that the Cairn o Mount road?
Was planning to put my car away for winter soon, but depending on when this is might have to dig it out again!
Very interested to hear how you get on! Most of the exhaust mods and comparisons I've seen have been on US cars, so will be interesting to see what's possible with the EU system.
The dash inserts are inside the envelope, not in the box so you should be ok!
Also anyone know if there's any touch up paint or anything for if we get any stone chips etc? Would be interesting to see how well it works
Some bad news though, just tried them in the car, looks like it is exactly the same as the LHD version so they don't fit right... The "A90 Edition" one seems to kinda sit in the top one, but the other doesn't sit at all. I then placed them facing inwards as if in LHD, and perfect fit...
Just looked, I did get them! Can't believe I missed it, thought the little cardboard bit was just part of the packaging to stop the envelope crushing in on the photo or something. Thank goodness I still had everything in the envelope!
I don't think cost is the reason in leaving out the strut brace vs the Z4, considering the Z4 is cheaper than the Supra in many regions other than the North American markets. I do think it was to do with handling and feel, if something so simple would have added to the final product that they...
