It should work. For normal mode and even cold starts in sport mode. If you have a JB4 it'll change when the valve works i think. Lot of us just unplug it or use the bmw m performance plug to have it always open.
Anyone know of a wheel stud conversion set that is M14 1.25 to M14 1.50 and that is shorter than 75mm? Only options i've found on google are super cheap no name crap. Not looking to run spacers and would like the stud to be a tad shorter. I know there are short 1.25 options but looking for the...
Congrats on the 86! I was 6 months into waiting on my allocation for a white premium 6 speed then jumped on the supra when it popped up. It'll be a blast on the track! Though I'm sure you've heard of the RTV issues? Not sure if the 23's are affected by it also.
It's a good thing wheels are easily swapable lol. Running 3.0 brembos, a 3.0 Remark catback, and MSS springs for the 3.0.. hard to know its a 2.0 now other than the exhaust tone.
It's sad there still isn't any real information out there about the 2.0. We're still having issues with what / if any LSD we have in the car lol. Im afraid most our answers wont come until some brave soul rips apart the car and does the leg work... and well that's not the reason i bought a 2.0...
Threw on the americanpandadesign badges yesterday.. they really help finish off the blacked out look. Also stopped by a local car event and finally got a good picture taken of the car.
Your best bet is to hit up @Jesse DaBears @ 1fastsupra.com for a custom map. He's a super cool dude and will get ya tuned correctly. Till then running the absolute target map on the jb4 seems to be the best bet for our 2.0s. Our little turbo likes to spike boost hard on downshift so the additive...
Finally some new parts!
@NitroYellowMKV hooked me up with this beautiful steering wheel. So happy to find a option that was not the flat bottom design yet still mix smooth leather and carbon fiber. Hit him up if you wanna make a custom steering wheel guys, the options are plenty!
And then...
No idea how these cars measure the oil... but normally on other cars you let the car sit for a few minutes to let the oil drain back into the oil pan before checking the dip stick. Your first test was probably the oil just still in the head and other varies passages.
You'll need to run a open ended lug. Plenty of options out there from the likes of raceseng, project kics, etc. Or if you cant return those lugs just drill out the tops.
I've got a set of project kics monolith lugs on order but due to stud length i'll have to drill out the lock key to make it work.
+1 For the the AWE Foiler. Have it on mine and it works great. I did wrap mine in a matte black to match the 2.0s mirror trim better since they come Gloss black to match the 3.0.
A few sound clips of the current exhaust set up. Let the wife finally drive the car so i can hear it lol. I'm on the fence of needing resonators or not to fight top end/partial throttle rasp.... What do you guys think? They could be a pain to fit in the remark piping.
Clip of a soft launch then...
If cold starts are your issue and you really want to keep the exhausts there are videos out there of people who have built cheap sound deadening boxes/ devices they keep in the garage. Some as easy as just placing it behind the car and driving away once he idle normalizes.
