Isn't Harris's opinion on supra like saying an Audi or Lamborghini is basically a VW underneath yet he doesn't?
I've noticed motor journalists have very odd opinions and are never consistent.

Definitely very odd.
Usually when the emergency brake comes on, the radar detects too fast speed with imminent collision ahead.
What you will feel, is the automated abs applying the front brakes with an on and off grinding sensation.

D rings were already on the car. The cargo net was an easy install and works great to hold the groceries. Makes life so much easier and the car more practical.

The brake squeal should not be happening so that may need to be checked or they may need proper break in.

White smoke is never a good sign.
Best to have it checked at the next service....
Before that though, best to look at your coolant levels if you can and just look under your engine for anything obvious leaks, etc..
Could be many things(gasket, air intake, etc) and best not to speculate until...

Check your rear boot.
You may need to adjust the rubber grommets anticlockwise out/ clockwise turn in to make sure the booth lid is not rattling or loose.
