Personally I like the headlights. I'm not in love with the Z's bumper either. Maybe it will look better in person, but if that's everyone's main complaint the aftermarket will probably have a simple fix for that.
With the exception of the Z32 the Z has always been a bargain car. MSRP and adjusted for inflation.
2009 Z34: $30,625 = $37,545

A $40k starting price for a base model without options doesn't seem outrageous to me.
The "leak" specs doesn't say anything about 0-60 time. The Q60 red sport does it in 4.5 seconds, but that thing is well over 3,800 lbs.
