It's time to replace your battery. All kinds of wacko things happen when its about to die. Heck I had windows opening and closing randomly on a corvette i had in the past. Now I replace my battery every 3 years on every car no matter it's condition.

I'd go get that deposit back and if that car shows up in 4 weeks, then just drop it back down. Looks like they easily convinced you to not try to get your deposit back. I already have a 25' I've owned for over a month now. ATs are getting dropped in the system and they get picked up fast...

If you really liked your 2.0 the GR86 is a contender as well. My wife has a GR86 and its fun as you describe. I live in a place where I can find some empty country roads and rip my Supra whenever I feel like it. I for one understand your dilemma though. It's basically the "slow car fast"...
