Yeah, I should have been more specific. I've never had a problem with them on the road with the exception of a couple of times when they were cold and I tried to make an abrupt stop soon after turning on the car. On the track, they fade quite quickly and my personal opinion is that they're a...
This is not normal. 1 quart after 3000 to 5000 miles is normal. If you put your ear to the engine cover with the motor turned off, do you hear a voice saying, "Feeeeeeeeed me Seymour..."
My '21 was a couple of weeks late when I took delivery about a year ago. Totally normal. Was told to expect 2 weeks back then, now I would image in being more given the "COVID-related supply chain issues." Which is the best excuse and I use it at work often. Waiting on a component? Supply chain...
I think the "oil burning" issue is being blown out of proportion, but I do absolutely think there is an oil sensor level issue we'll eventually see a recall for. I really, really wish Toyota would have put a dipstick in this car... at the very least as a backup.
Yeah, I'm a lucky guy. There were other options, but the Supra is more than enough for me. I have plenty of fun driving it at its limit on the track and it does well on the street. Plus I'm old, with a kid, and another on the way. Hitting a wall at Supra limits vs. Cayman GT4 limits are two very...
I had the same experience with BOA- was offered 1.9% - and Toyota Financial was the highest. We do, however, have an existing relationship with BOA through Merrill Lynch. Ended up just paying cash so there's no loan to settle up on when I bin it on the track.
It's not! A downpipe may indeed give you that extra sound you want also also come with a nice power bump along with it. Before I went with a new cat-back system I was running an AA catted downpipe and the stock exhaust. Sounded great.
EDIT: Always read the other replies before replying to a...
Ugh! Sorry man. Is it a law in Canada they have to do a recall if you bring your vehicle in? It's not here in the states (where we breath beautiful freedom every time we step outside), but I'm not up-to-date on law up north.
Personal preference. I derive much of my "fun car" experience from the way my vehicle sounds. For me, an exhaust was higher up on the list (though a downpipe higher up than both). For a lower cost solution, I just went with a JB+ anyways, so is that an option to get you the noise plus a (small)...
I've often found these to be the best shops! The place I take the Supra for any major work is like this as is the body shop I use. I'm a prude and it took me a while to get past it.
As has been stated before, Josh is a good dude and this seems to be the best catted downpipe on the market for our cars at this point. Highly recommend both the product and the vendor! (I have received no compensation for saying this ?)
I think the Supra is "fugly" at certain angles. I bought it because it's a good track car for $50k. The way it looks from the rear gets me in the feels, though. Reminds me of something out of Akira. I do agree, though, it looks much better in person than in photographs. Never really experienced...
After all that, I just ended up ordering the Cusco bar and will get it powder coated... eventually. As usual, thank you all for the information - this forum rocks.
