Yes, but like you said not all Toyota stealerships even have their Zupras yet. Of course asking over MSRP will kill/slow sales of any car. Again, all we have numbers for is 10 days worth of sales. Let's wait for the full picture.

That's a great idea and it would make a good 86 replacement imo. You would also think it would be a whole lot cheaper than to develop a new 2nd gen 86 with Subaru.

To be fair it's not actually Toyota that is doing this. They don't own each dealer. And not all dealers are adding on mark ups. Maybe not if Toyota plays it right. I think the car will become more competitive once we get the B58D. It wouldn't hurt if they slash the price tag by like $5k on each...

I hope in the future Toyota will release a striped down version (95 SE Supra). I was watching some of the review videos and this thing is pretty nicely equipped, but for example, some of us in the Southern part of the US have no need for heated seats.
