to be fair - the mustang, mx5 and vette have a long-standing business case. They haven't been out of production and need resurrecting in a new climate.
civic R, hellcat, demon, Kia stinger - and most of the AMG/M/RS range are all souped-up passenger cars.
The NSX is clean sheet - but again -...
Sadly, it's not just Toyota, and it's not laziness - it's the global automotive climate. When was the last time a company, who's core business isn't sports cars - actually created a sports car using a new platform and new engine? Porsche bringing the NA 4.0 six back to their mid engine line up...
TBF, the mk1-5 etc is largely a USA thing. They've been referred by chassis codes elsewhere in the world for quite some time.
I'm a previous gen supra owner, (if you include my MA45 that's a shell, I have all five generations) I'm not salty :p
Toyota official way to refer to the generation of Supras is by A40/A60/A70/A80.... which yes, the A chassis (RWD Celica originally) denotes the Supra platform.
A90 fits better than J29 - so while not a chassis code, it is still better than Mk1/2/3/4/5
I'd be thinking 19x10 or 19x11 so that's fine. I'm in Au so still a little while off ordering.
These are a directional wheel - do you have LH and RH versions? Any pics of the concave?
500Nm is input torque rating - dynos measure torque at the wheels - which is multiplied by gear ratios, torque convertor, diff ratio and wheel/tyre radius. (i.e. Wheel torque is higher than input torque)
Have to remember - the A90 will most likely be the last generation of Supra at least in petrol-powered form - straight from Tada's mouth and makes sense with the global regulations coming in the near future
That's correct.
The GPF also has a sensor that has a vaccum line near the dump pipe/turbo
Have a look in your engine bay, near the rear of the turbo. No vacuum line? No GPF
