Because with springs, you get to keep the active dampening, as you’re keeping the stock struts. If you remove the struts (specifically a connector that controls the active dampening) the car will throw a chassis warning message. Personally, I don’t think coilovers is worth seeing that message...
Toyota/BMW may as well start considering everyone’s garage an assembly line because we’re going to have more self-assembled Supras than factory assembled Supras.
