I believe so! That's how people run catless with a tune. But for any more custom tune that require canbus integration, Ecutek is the only way to go, which requires an ECU clone that's pre 2020/6.

I’m doing the unlock/clone and was quoted $2200 for the flight in-person delivery.. A bit too much to my liking, when Femto charges 600 + 300 for unlock and clone plus shipping, which is gonna be 2-300. But the insured safety may be worth it.

VIN is used to confirm compatibility and that is unlockable!

Cost differs per ECU as the source I found would need to go through different suppliers to find them, but it's not cheap...

Was able to actually source another one for a member here! Luckily the source still have more available, it's shipping from out of the country. I'll get mine soon and have arranged DHL to femto right when I received. Hopefully the car will run on Ecutek before EOY! If anyone wants one let me know.

With enough hard work and digging I was able to find a tunable ECU off a 2020 BMW X7. Sadly the source couldn't get me the VIN of donor but with the part number and date, it's good to go. Gonna get sorted out and send to Femto. There might be a few more available, so if you are interested send...

I know it's expensive but 3k its a lot.. not counting shipping, tune/unlock. Damn better early than late..
