Mine defaulted to always closed when I did a firmware update (v22). I'm assuming it's a bug; if they're now shipping with that version then it will probably be an issue out of the box. It threw me for a loop when logging since it caused my already high trims (high E content) to completely max...
It's quite simple. The Press car they were loaned for the test was a manual. Having some acquaintances in the industry, they take what they can get, when they can get it. Following that, they'd much rather be first to publish content than be accurate/comprehensive.
I'll wait for 1/4 mile times in the hands of enthusiasts (#drivermod) vs journalists, whom traditionally have never turned respectable numbers when they have to launch and shift themselves.
When you do the tire re-learn it will automagically figure things out, so no issues with ABS, TC, speedo, etc.. At least that's been my experience switching between stock wheels/tires and the drag pack which as 26" fronts and 28" rears.
I swear.. Dudes think and do the weirdest shit on this site...

Now I'm over here trying to photoshop MKV wheels on my C8. :coffee:
??
235 on the fronts will probably look ok since the stock 245 are fairly flush. 285 on the rear is going to look really...
Agreed - the C7 ZR1 is 100% badass. I don't consider myself a 'Corvette guy' per se, but I have owned a few C5 Z06, C6 and C6 ZR1. I was actually dead set on a C7 ZR1 a few years back. I sold my C6 ZR1 (which side note: the only car I've sold that the word regret starts to enter my mind) and...
I'm loving the hell out of mine and it pairs nicely with the Supra. Definitely a yin and yang.
I am super stoked about the Z06 -- as soon as I can get an allocation and a 'reasonable' deal I'm all in. Acknowledging that will likely be 2-3 years away, though...
That's within the 'expected' parameters, especially if factory weight and some hard driving. The people with a real problem are burning a quart in a 3rd of those miles or less.
Map 1 or 2. Unless you're comfortable reading logs, or have someone that can, I would not blindly run Map 3 or even 4 without bumping up the octane. 20psi is asking a lot on pump 93 beyond single gear pulls.
You can get away with ~E30 all day. The benefits/gains without a JB4 (more boost) or a real tune would not be significant. Stock tune on 93 can be pretty stingy with timing advance once the IATs start creeping up so in a high performance situation there would be some benefit.
Why not just log with and without to see what's really happening? I've 'heard' that all + does is re-map the throttle curve to give the illusion of a snappier response.
Map 6 with a few more psi on tap, but ran out of time. This was at the end of a 1/4 mile pass riding out 5th; I think shifting into 6th would improve the 60-130 but it would have hurt the 1/4 ET.
Early 2021, 3/20 build. First oil change at 2000 miles. Just shy of 4000 miles now, two drag strip visits, many south of the border trips. Zero consumption.
