I think that your list is a good, one, however I'd really echo the sentiment of others about the Z being outdated. I probably care about interior more than most sports car buyers, so the Z was more or less an immediate elimination. I was also considering a Mustang GT Premium but ended up with...
Ceramic coat should be fine because it should follow the uneven paint surface that makes matte paint happen. You'd have to cake on enough layers to "fill in" the waves of the paint, which is why buffing would remove the matte finish. Maybe check online with some reputable car detailing suppliers...

Unfortunately Toyota is probably content with not developing their own sports cars from the ground up anymore. Nissan is doing halfway decent but the 370z is hilariously outdated, and the R-35 gets more...
I don't know of anything that could boost the paint resilience itself, but I'd say most people will go for a full PPF wrap and potentially a ceramic coat. Mainly the PPF is what you want though because repairing matte paint is extremely difficult.
Also congrats to the owners, I was wondering...
Thanks for sharing this. I was also wondering if I was going crazy. My steering wheel feels to be "centered" at a very slight turn to the left. I'll copy your steps when I go in to the dealer.
A lot of people will use price points as comparisons if they can't find anything else to debate around. Since here in the US you can get a V8 Mustang or Camaro starting at around 40k with some options, people will always draw comparisons around those cars until you get into the 60k plus range...
Lmao, I was lurking over there and this is spot on. If only they would just admit that all they want to do is find justification to say every other car is inferior to the MkIV. It's not even about leveraging actual constructive criticism about the MkV, but validating their egos. I'm not saying...
I see it now after reviewing. The 640k yen comes from 4x150k plus the 40k for what looks like the wheel lock bolt set. Also I think the wheels are the same width, so that was kind of a bummer. Was hoping the rears would at least be a 10.5 or 11 to help fill out the wheel well a bit better.
I...
When I picked mine up from the dealer, there were actually a couple other people coming through to look at the car in person. Some guy actually said nice BMW right as I was about to drive it out. I've had a couple comments here in there at local car meetups
I just love the mentality some people...
That's how I feel about the C7s as well. The Z06 is very nice looking (ZR1 even more so, but obviously a different price point), and I was tempted to wait and see what happened to prices there before I pulled the trigger on my Supra
So I can't read Japanese, so please correct me if I'm not seeing this right, but according to the TRD website part numbers MS213-14001 and MS213-14002 are the front and rear set respectively. I am reading this as each one is 2 wheels at 150k yen per pair. Which at current exchange rate is...
It's not about can or can't, it's about will or won't. If the BRZ/GT86 is any example, Toyota isn't willing to go all in on their own sports cars in the premium segment. The GR Yaris is alot easier and less risky to manufacture than a new Supra.
With Mazda, they're willing to commit to this...
Was wondering if anyone might have some info on the TRD wheels? I saw where some people have been able to get the TRD carbon parts, but haven't seen anyone get the wheels yet. Considering getting lowering springs at some point and spacers for the stock wheels, but wanted to see if anyone has...
The C8 definitely looks long but that's probably due to them having a rear trunk. If they would have skipped the trunk and shortened the car it would have looked better imo.
The distance between the rear of the door and the rear axle just looks weird to me, though longer wheelbase will help...
Mine ran out on the 11th of Dec. I think it's 3 months from whenever the prep is done. One thing though is that Sirius will sometimes automatically open up the standard channels for free around holidays, so given it's Christmas then New Year, you might have some extra days assuming your trial...
As someone who bought a Mk5 Supra, the Cybertruck is a bit too much angle for me in the design, gotta have some nice curves. I have no personal issue with Tesla/electric cars but they're definitely not for me at this time. The points Kahn brought up are what concern me alot, electric cars can be...
Xtrememac a few posts up gave a perfect explanation of actual reasons why the car hasn't sold as much. The article just seems clickbait based on how it's been written and the supporting evidence they try to use.
The best part of the article is one of the comments that talks about the Supra...
I will not be modifying mine until at least a couple years out, assuming I even do. I'm in the same boat as Trojan, I'm not willing to pay the price if something goes wrong. If I decide to sell the car after a couple years I want to be able to give the next owner a clean car that they can choose...
