For ppl like me the partial unlock was enough 93 and Custom E50. I’m not gonna send my ECU back and spend for a flex tune i don’t mind mixing fuel.
For those pushing the envelope tho like u money isn’t really a factor especially when the build is 50k plus in your case more. And the ECU clone is...
This is true there will be a premium still for ecutek. It’s just the ppl that need ecutek over BM3 are the 1% of ppl it’s a small niche but those ppl will spend big bucks because they have big builds
Geico paid for all my modifications and XPEL when my Z06 was wrecked and i didn’t have the “aftermarket accessories” coverage.
Plus 1 for Grundy collector insurance tho they are great. You get agreed value no questions asked!!! My pops has it on his hellcat. I would have it but one stipulation...
This is true. But people going full balls to the wall with their builds is the minority of people. Most ppl just want more power for the street that’s usable and skipping the ridiculous cost of these ECU’s isn’t detrimental to the majority of people.
I had a C7 Z06 with comp seats and Z07 suspension… super rough ride but i loved that thing. I’m 5’9 so i don’t have tall guy problems sadly lol
I honestly have an ich for a manual car and miss American V8’s. Love this platform and car but if i could do it all over again i would have gotten a low mileage C6 ZR-1
It only cost me 200 to ship to Finland and 150 for Femto this ship back i was unlocked for 900 bucks OTD. I understand ppl worried about shipping DHL international though it’s a bit nerve racking the what-if my DME gets lost
With BM3 custom rom around the corner for B58 cars and it being out for S58 cars the demand is going to dwindle down eventually for these in the near future i believe.
My detailer got one of the first M2’s in NJ. The thing in person looks really good TBH. I’m still leaning towards a G82 as i really prefer the M4 and having AWD but the M2 is pretty nice also
It’s an estimate… but most ppl I’ve seen dyno a 93 Oct MHD stage 2 car at around 530-550WTQ ballpark depending on ambient conditions. You can see a lot of dyno proof on CES motorsports posts they dyno those cars all the time in all different shop temps.
Stable yes. Let's be honest tho anything over 100 MPH on a public road is sketchy tho the ethanol tune isn't really necessary I only did it because of a pesky local RS3. You need better tires than the OE Super Sports as well.
On 93 the car makes ballpark 440WHP and 540 WTQ. On E50 the car is at about 510WHP and 580WTQ. The car is significantly faster on ethanol biggest difference is noticeable on the top end it pulls alot harder. Only mods are catless downpipe and armaspeed intake. 600WTQ is limit for stock trans...
JB4 def had more power than stock it was noticeable but nothing that wowed me the power delivery was also pretty choppy i didn’t love it.
Now that my car is on MHD the jump in power and torque is extremely noticeable even over JB4. On 93 oct stage 2 OTS the car drives really smooth and packs a...
I originally went AMS catted and sold my stock downpipe. A few months later i decided to go catless and sold the catted DP. Catless is more fun IMO and does have slightly more gains. The smell also isn’t bad at all tbh
