I'm looking to get a little bit more out of my b48. Looking to upgrade it further down the road with DP and some other bolt on mods. Femto+bm3 is around 1200€for me while jb4 is 500€ish. should i go for the unlock and bm3 despite the higher cost?
What kind of power is a 2020 making on BM3/MHD on ~E20? Can't imagine its much more than 425.
Guess the real benefit would be the ability to run up to E50 instead.
Either one works for JB4 as far as I can tell from the website, though it looks like CANbus is what is used for MHD or BM3 if you ever end up going a flextune with those down the line.
E50 vs E70 is not a big difference.
My guess is the pure turbo supra you're talking about is on a stock trans and conservative tune. DA also plays a note.
Either way, i'm heading deeper into 7s with port, a tire and a custom map. Maybe even top 6s.

As far as options I'd say most people w/ a manual trans either go with a JB4, BM3, or MHD. There is JB+ and MG Flasher, but you don't see many people using those. I'm a bit bias and would recommend MHD since they currently have more capability w/ the Motiv Reflex integration than BM3.

Well that sucks, I’ve seen plenty of people run the JB4 on map 2 with zero issues, tomorrow I plan to take my car to a shop and see if my turbo really is done. Not saying you’re not wrong or anything. Took a picture of inside and not sure of any damage is done.
your turbo is gone, had the same exact sound last week. chipped propeler and shaft play vertically and horizontally, stop driving your car before you do more damage, i think oem turbo is less than 800 bucks or you can go big turbo like i did,
