Looks gorgeous! I would love to hear how this sounds. When someone gets this installed, please post a before & after video for us audiophiles to play on loop
I wonder what % of dealership deliveries that accounts for? I'm seeing tons of posts about cars being on hold or having just arrived. Given that this thing just started rolling into dealerships, 320 doesn't seem like a bad number at all.
That blue is so smooth, congratulations on your car! Got any mid day pics of her bathing in some sunlight? I would love to see the light dance on that blue paint. Such a great color on this thing.
The wing is dramatic but I actually love the widebody look on this thing. Those wide hips and exaggerated curves are like the call of the wild. I wonder how fast it would 0-60 with some more meat back there?
I'll pay 60K for a 2 seater Toyota if it's better than its 60K competition! However, paying 80K for a 2 seater that is on par with its 60K competitor is where I pump the brakes. I don't really care about branding or badging, I like good platforms at good prices honestly
That's true for basic warranty, but it looks like it also has a 5 year/60,000 powertrain warranty. I winced at the 3 year/36K as well before I saw the next line under it.
When did the Toyotafest event end? Based on the info in Guff's post, the crash occurred at roughly ~2:00 a.m. The driver was possibly traveling home from Toyotafest or traveling home from an after-Toyotafest-event. ....Or perhaps there is no relationship between the accident and Toyotafest...
It could happen if the driver wasn't wearing a seatbelt and the passenger was wearing it. 80mph collision without a seatbelt is a completely different animal than 80mph with one. Time will tell for sure though, it's hard to reach any serious conclusions with the limited available data.
I'm in the same camp. After seeing these numbers from a stock example and knowing that people are getting 400+whp out of the B58 with just a tune, It's hard to not trade in the pony car lol. Let's see what dealership markups look like and then I'll be able to make my decision.
I'm watching the smoking tire review and Matt says that "...and here's the thing: it's not a manual, they have heard you, they know. Ok, I wish it was a manual too, but it isn't. GIVEN THAT.... they've had a lot of opportunities to mess it up, and they haven't." Maybe I'm being too hopeful and...
Some of those shots are stunning. I love that 86, that green & tan is what dreams are made of. The gold/copper rims are a beautiful finishing touch. The details really come together on this one.
This is amazing! You had to know that this would happen sooner or later lol. Can't wait to see how else this platform gets utilized and how far it gets pushed.
