Normal behavior for frameless to freeze up. You can use deicing or warm water to speed up. No remote start, so no better solution imho. To clarify, i have not driven the Supra below 40F and i never experienced door not closing. My 86 did experience window freeze issue as I drove it all year...

I'm in Michigan. If I didn't have a Supra already, June is the only real first good weather, so I'd wait, but you're in TX so.. unless you're dying for a new car, I'd wait for MY21. Unless that ~4-6K savings for MY20 is super important for you. But then again, when will the actual MY21 cars...

To be fair, MY20 always beat Z4's ass without any additional tune. Proven by many magazine reviews out there. However, for sure Toyota will tune the B58M30O1..

I think 1000 is only limited to the the blue color and black.. Rest of model change will live on as MY21 model refresh..
