absolutely. even as a coarse measure,
1200kg = sub 300kW ok
1300 kg = 300-350kw
1400kg = 350-400kW
Not to mention the other effects of more mass. The brakes don't look massive (330ish) which is consistent with a car close to the 1300kg mark.
at least, if a committee-driven weight and bullshit gain occurs in the A90.... I hope they offer us an option (GT3) with just the go fast bits and enough luxuries to be relevant. auto lights, wipers, mirrors that angle down when in reverse, AC, sat nav, 6MT, turbina, w h o o s h i b o i, done.
... 2019 production reveal? FFS! I hope they're ready to take orders soon after that...
I wonder what the GR Supra Concept in GT sport will reveal, if anything.
I heard that mascheninfabrik did some prototyping for the 1JZ, and that was all. Toyota simply tweaked the 1JZ head and added another 500cc to get to 2JZ. Did your conversations dispel this one too?
Without a manual, the auto will need to be visceral. The slushboxes in the euro muscle C63 and M3 etc are good, but not for a sports car. Suits the C63 well.... but if I imagine that trans in my JZA80.... ewww
I am really hoping this thing isn't any more than 1350kg with only 250kW. There's no "fun to drive" in a car that slow. My MA61 would be 1300kg and 300kW ish, and it's not a rocket. Fun, but not fast
