From what I understand, you need to remove your ecu, ship it to FEMTO to have it unlocked then work with a tuning company to tune the car/ensure you have the necessary licenses and software. Since you have the ecu, I believe you'll be under your 6k budget.

I'd venture to say that it's 500 total split between countries around the world. So you won't see 500 special in the US if that is the case.
