If done properly with a softer tire, youāre absolutely right. However, there is a lot of HPDE 1, 2 or 3 (green, yellow, blue) drivers. When you look around, theyāre on street (summer) tires that donāt take this process as well. So a lot depends on the tire brand & itās designed use. Link below...
I believe the recommendation is 38 psi for our cars. Daily driving stuff.
If youāre going for better traction, youāll drop the tire pressure. Canāt speak for drag folk. But for tracking, you definitely drop the pressure and continue to bleed them as the day goes on.
For looks, go for it. Keep in mind youāll wear the sidewall faster and most tires are not designed to be stretched (for max grip).

For track, may not be for everyone & every tire. Need to know what youāre doing, right tire & installer.
Bryan (Razorlab) mentioned brakes, I believe. But youāre absolutely right. I wouldnāt hesitate to buy a 3.0 ābaseā and find the 3.0 āpremiumā (or Canadian ? version) rear calipers in a heartbeat. Everything else on that upgrade list is so minor.
If you donāt mind cleaning your car, Hawk HPS 5.0 pad will give you a night & day performance difference. We keep them on my wifeās GTI. Itās so noticeably better, she no longer complains about the dust.

Yeah, if you get rain, which you should - itās phenomenal! Just my luck the few times Iāve been and didnāt.⦠?
Great reminder!!! That particular part says not for the Supra. Is that the same one we can all use? Iād rather have it for not if but when they go out.

I gotta agree with you as usual. However, I wasnāt as versed with the ZF8 as you. Bought her thinking Iād doing more in town driving. Then the free track day happened. Holy shite Batman was I wrong! What an utter blast to drive this ultimate driving machine on...
I meant just for me. Being selfish. Looks like so much damn fun ?
Iād like to think that as well. I heard Lando scoff off a reporter when asked about the driverās championship. Something to the fact that itās Max youāre talking about. Like duh, are you kidding, was the look. It appears to be...
The PMU 999s are shockingly good
The heat down here right now on track is well over 120. Amazing you can do it. Definitely younger than me ?
Bryan is usually right. I did low grit sandpaper one older set and that helped. But didn't get much from the rotors after that. Started to show a lip...
