We'll get a new Supra in 2035.
All electric, 5,200 pounds, lower power/weight ratio than a Tesla Model 3 Performance, with a Toyota quality interior, and industry-standard "modify anything and the computer forces the car into service mode and demands you get it to a dealer immediately"...
Personally for me, xHP is a lot like when I first upgraded from a 60hz display to a 144hz display for gaming; the difference from old to new was noticeable but not that crazy, but the difference going from new back to old feels much more noticeable and jarring.
3M tape is enough to hold on most lip spoilers given enough contact area. I've done plenty of 60-130 pulls (in mexico...) with mine and it's not going anywhere.
You'll need to properly prepare the A91 spoiler for it though, getting the contact side as smooth and clean as possible and such.
45th has a chance of holding its value better if that's your goal, but so far Supra's hold their value extremely well regardless.
Personally I think the color and decals are kind of ugly though. Plus, a 2024 model year only having 90 miles means that thing has sat without any serious use all...
If you're concerned about losing power with an aftermarket intake, grab a Verus turbo heat shield and it should prevent your IAT's from getting any hotter than with a stock intake. At worse, you might lose 5-10 HP off higher IAT's due to inadequate heat shielding on some aftermarket intakes...
Is it like a lip that has an abrupt drop-off or like a gutter/waterway? Did you try one of those gutterway ramps on it? A lot of neighborhoods don't seem to care if you leave them there 24/7 as long as they still allow water to flow.
TIL that JB4 has the ability to force shut the exhaust flap via the BC button. Was really concerned when my exhaust suddenly sounded way quieter/like something was stuck inside of it today.
Like, why exactly is the only thing JB4 can change without using the app the exhaust flap...? Is there...
JB4 is known to be much harder to work with for manual transmission cars yes, there are people here than can help though. It's definitely a system originally intended for automatics.
Proper unlock and tune is always safer, but a TON of people (not just Supra's, but also BMW's, KIA Stingers, and...
The MST should be fairly close to the same install process. My MST intake was very easy to install. Took me about 2 hours only because I had trouble getting the inlet elbow to slip on just right (more to do with inexperience than the product)
The biggest issue I had, is that the torx screws for...
put on A90shop's FI Exhaust catless downpipe. Nice easy install, granted I had somebody lend me an extra set of hands.
I'm quite fond of actually being able to hear the exhaust now. Zero drone, not very loud at all unless full throttle, and only a tad louder than stock when idle.
Put ~150...
Might just be me, but with darker colors I actually like the new larger grille they're doing.
Looks bad with bright colors that accentuate the grill, but especially black or darker grays where it stands out less, it works surprisingly well to me.
