Great job ?? RT! @Jesse DaBears will make you silly fast. It was more than I was expecting. Guess thatās what you get when you ask one of the fastest drag guys to set you up, lol.
Yāall got me curious now how mine is set up. Since I paid my local Fuzzy mechanic to install my JB4.
This ā or⦠I drive on my Hawk DTC 60/30 pads all year. They are not overly aggressive on rotors. Nor top of the line as CSGs (or as expensive). So Project Mu or Hawks all year round would be a stellar choice if you start chewing through those Endless pads too quickly.
(due to popularity, always...
True! However that free track day wonāt do any harm. It takes a lot of track days/experience to really get her up to burning through consumables. So enjoy the hell out of her, if thatās what you want to do. This car is that much fun, promise.
We have one of the few cars that can track on a...
True for almost everything. However this car is built & tested for it. Hence why I bought it. If it was to have any problems, going slow and finding them early is smart. For me, getting on the track and finding what is going to break is inevitable. Iād do the same thing with Mazda or Porsche. As...
Have to agree but⦠I have found this car more sensitive than my other track cars, with the slightest of change. The SPL parts have helped me the most. But thatās really getting aggressive and you need a special alignment shop to dial her in right.
No doubt. I could have had a new one (911) every couple of years for the same cost of kids, lol. Word of advice⦠donāt sell the Supra! The Honda Pilot starts looking like a Ferrari to the wife when you do ?
Then and now
Sample of what weād rent on vacation ?. However, still worth itā¦...
For a sedan, you made a great decision! And it looks like Jackie Ding (amongst others) will continue to keep her track focused as well. Iām lucky that both kids will be moving out soon and I was allowed to have another 2 seater besides my MX5 ?
Itās a car forum. So the idea is to help others with their cars regardless of where they are from. I think Jason has been the most helpful in this regard. Hopefully he can go to court and prove heās under 95 decibels. Problem solved. Thatād be the ideal situation.
OEM wheels? A good alignment does wonders for this car. Especially if youāve changed your wheel & tire size. I have SPL parts and eccentric lockouts so we can set it and attempt to forget it the beginning of track season. At the end of season, Iāll put my OEM wheels back on and go back to a spec...
I lived in Woodland Hills CA for a bit and have relatives in Napa Valley. California is freaking beautiful. The weather sure beats the swamp humidity imo. The majority of Floridians prefer lower taxes and less government intervention. Love our kids and donāt want Washington deciding whatās best...
Love it in red, but black looks good too. My wife said it best. What other car would you want that has back seats? Ummmmmmā¦.. ? How about a 911 ? - no, real back seats ?
Damn one qualify really shakes things up a bit. To see a chink in the RB armor. Namely Max. Their grip looked so far off. I truly hope they get it figured out by today. Max stayed cool though and didnāt toss it into a wall like Stroll. So much for any of their team getting sleep last night⦠This...
the light will come on from time to time. Jesse would be a better person to answer the question of why. Mine is simple. She gets hot. Iām full throttle for long periods of time. I canāt get away with massive amounts of boost running on 93 octane. And Iām okay with that because I track. I need...
Love it! Iāve never had oil issues or been worried about using a different oil in a Florida track car. We all do it. But you went above and beyond any previous oil thread on here explaining it, imo. Great job ?? Really appreciate your advice and input. We have a lot of really good engineers in...
My girl is bAAck. Brand new rear CV joints since no boot kit for our cars yet. Both rear axels were on sale, so I scooped em up. Will watch them more closely this go round for any leaks, wear n tear. Got my NASCAR duct tape ready if they get leaky again ?
Also installed a new horn. Damn...
Hawk DTC 60/30 or Hawk 70/60 if you can find them for our car.
Love to hear⦠Itās simple and a piece of mind. A lot of us just hop in the drivers seat and do a few pedal pumps. Dirty fluid and the tiniest of air bubbles be gone. Solid pedal all track season.
Track timeā¦. totally agree. The...
