There is some good irony in that cartoon. EVs sure aren't cheap. Hybrids seemed like a pretty good direction things were heading in a market driven economy. Gas if you got stuck in a pinch, electric to help extend the range... But now with a force of hand, we all pay the price in cost of goods...
It's phantom with red interior. If all goes well, they'll have the paperwork finished tomorrow  ? I've got to give them credit for at least being willing to sell to me, out of state. And sure as hell beats paying $10k over MSRP. I can use that money on PPF instead :)
I wonder how long the charge will last under repeated hard track use? But an even bigger concern, mass adoption for daily use. How will our power grids be able to handle charging all these electric vehicles?

Saw this article and wondered if it’s a sign of things to come. Especially with a greater push for “clean” EVs. Any worries or concerns if someone I know - asking for a friend ofc - gets a simple tune (for going cat-less with improved air intake, for example)...
My car finally got here 2 days ago (5/19 build date). Still waiting for a “finance” guy to call me and finalize my paperwork. I have my own financing and not buying any add ons, so I guess they’re not in any hurry?!? My poor sales guy happens to be away serving in the army reserves but doing his...
5/19 was my build date for my 2022. And it finally got here 2 days ago. Still waiting to finalize the paperwork (my own financing, not buying any add ons, and live 1000 miles away, so they’re not in a hurry I suppose?!?).
I know if I search long and hard enough I can find the holy grail thread that will:
1) make my car arrive quicker
2) keep the car cooler
3) give it insane grip
4) make dealers sell at MSRP
and simply turn the Supra into a hyper track car for pennies on the dollar.
Gotcha... Florida did away with that so long ago, I didn't realize that was still a thing. I went cat-less on a RX8 and the engine light (O2 sensor) was the only down side (and the car would go into dreaded "limp-mode" - who the hell knows what or if that caused it). Maybe a dumb question...
I'm currently between Supras and wondering how much time I need to spend on this forum daily to consider it an obsession? Assuming a 40 hour work week - on my days off I can spend 2-3 hours (maybe more) and workdays at least an hour. I can't build anything or add any mods yet (as my wife has...
Living in Ft. Myers/Naples area I've been pulled over twice for just forgetting to renew! I didn't curse out the officer either time and always use sir or ma'am, so I didn't get a ticket. Very backwards around here. Some would say our police have nothing better to do. But I kinda like it that way :)
Spot on @Rocksandblues. Until electric batteries get smaller (weigh less), the Tesla is a nice car, but a fat pig on the track. You just won't get the exit speed on any current Tesla on track. This BMW straight six in this car is brilliant. I love even more that the Supra weighs less and cost...
I'm so obsessed with the damn car I'm buying a 2nd one after wrecking my 1st ? ?. With current inflation @Grizzly44, they're not getting any cheaper. I'd focus on finding one at MSRP since so many dealers are marking them up. You'll be way ahead of the game that way ;)
