All Supras can safely JB4, it doesn't 'touch' the ECU in that way. At all. JB4 is a piggy back.
But your 2020 is unlockable, might need a bench unlock though.

A91 CF = 2022 With CF Lips
Engine has nothing to do with it, year has nothing to do with it. Maybe Toyota could have done it differently, but "A91," "LE", etc. are just trim levels.
They're all A90s. All 2019+ Supras are A90s. Even the A91 is an A90 (confusing I know).
All trim levels are A90. It's like a chassis code, but it's not actually the chassis code (bleh).
This is the reason why it's worth 'dealing with.' If it were me (and I know I'm not everyone), and it was just a bad job, I'd just cut my losses and have it redone. But it's in the paint. This needs to be dealt with.
