That’s true but most speedometers read a percent or two high. Unless you’re riding motorcycles then they’re often 5-10% high. I think they do this for legal reasons. It’s hard to say “my car was showing the speed limit” if you’re speeding when it’s industry standard for all cars to read high...
Exactly. There’s no denial here - just the objective reality of business.
Now as for the subjective matter that some of us are in denial… for those who want a manual, I’ll be happy for them if it happens. As someone who has had manual cars since I started driving, I won’t be bothered. The auto...
Not to mention safety or perceived safety. Remember Toyota’s 2009 acceleration issue. Even on a Supra which has very few units relative to the rest of their fleet, Toyota will want to make sure that there are no last-minute issues. If something comes up, this could completely halt production...
This is the ODBLink app (that’s its title… they’re very creative). It only works with OBDLink MX/CX adapters. I can’t give a lot of impressions on it yet but I’m looking forward to seeing what it can do once spring arrives.
It seemed to work well in my garage. It showed throttle position...
Thought I’d throw in my 2 cents (they’re Canadian cents - so probably not worth a lot… lol)
I know a lot of people on the forum have OBDLink Bluetooth scanners for Bimmercode so I decided to try out their app in the garage (since I can’t do anything else with the Supra after 2 feet of snow)...
I also came from Miatas - an NB and an NC. They’re great cars and what sold me on the Supra was that it was closest to the Miata in terms of driving experience (aside from maybe the 718).
The Supra is better in every way but not in a way that feels “different.” Just better. I was very worried...
Hey - welcome to the community.
I’ll start by saying I’m not an expert but was in a similar situation. This was the only car that’s ever taken me more than a few days to decide on. I was looking at Camaros, Corvettes, 718’s, etc. I had also written off the Supra but after seeing some 2021...
OMG I thought it was just me! I’ve seen more aggressive Altima drivers and passengers than anything else (although the Chevrolet Cruze is a close second). They seem to be the ones who yell unprovoked obscenities/flip me off, try to run me out of my lane, etc. Almost every other interaction I’ve...
This guy has no idea how to post without being rude or sarcastic.
I respect @Mason for not trying to defraud Toyota by claiming warranty work that was potentially caused by a modification to the car. It’s nice to see honesty and integrity.
This was the first mod I did to my car. I used engine enamel and have literally no experience with any kind of spray painting. It was very easy and turned out well. It is holding up and still looks exactly the same 4 months later.
Thank you for this thread! This weekend I installed footwell/rear speaker lights.
I used 2 unused fuse locations - one in the front (footwell lights), one in the rear (speaker lights). Cables and lights are completely hidden and it all looks very clean.
Everything turns on when the doors open...
