In my experience the dealers don’t really know much at all. It all gets fed to them via Toyota UK.
I’ve not even asked for discount! I should of looking at your figures aha.
Interesting. I spoke to Toyota uk on Weds and they told me April/May for delivery. I asked if certain grades were shipping faster than others (auto vs manual) and apparently no, all have the same lead time. Oct seems like a stretch.
Deposit wise it’s £250 to get the order rolling online at least.
524whp in the top map, I used the lower 490whp most of the time though.
The extra torque would send the gearbox into limp mode after 10 mins of hard driving or so. Just got too hot. I’d spent enough on the car so just wanted rid.
Christ that’s not good! Unsure how the car managed that, I...
Returning to the mk5 supra fold, ordered my new 2023 Supra 3.0 pro (auto) today. In yellow again of course.
I went abit crazy with my previous car with the mods and damaged the gearbox, sold it to a trader to get rid and then it ended up on dream car giveaways with a lot of suspicious eBay...
So I've put a front plate on the car after getting some attention from the local Police.
Anyway, an excellent drive out yesterday, lovely cool yet sunny & dry weather here in the UK. Ambient 10C.
2500 miles when I had my "stage 2" (downpipe & ecutek tune done @ Garage Whifbitz) car was less than a year old at that point. Changed to Motul 5W40 too, heavier weight oil is prefered when tuned.
Hadd some NVspecialities carbon parts fitted, namely the carbon front "fake vent" replacements and the interior rear cubby.
Closer look at those AP racing brakes.
Oh I’m aware of that but with over 600bhp in such a short wheelbase, taming some of the oversteer will help overall handling for me.
It’s hard to pinpoint exactly as both suspension & strut brace went in together. If anything the car “points” more easily.
Oh I will once done! In regards to that, the HKS lowering springs & Cusco front strut brace do a good deal of work of reducing that side to side roll.
I'm hoping the front anti roll bar titghtens it even more so.
A quick update.
Not driven the car too much due to UK Lockdown number 3 and the poor weather. Did manage to do a few short drives recently though and very keen for the restrictions and weather to improve!
Meanwhile the big brake kit turned up!

Thanks! The Yellow really pops in person. This is the car the day after the trackday, still riany & gloomy. Just taken on iPhone 12, no editing.

Good choice on the HKS springs, I dropped mine 25mm but they can go lower. Personally I would go White as will match the body colour as I prefer...
