Thats how matt pieces are made Matt for road cars at least. Instead of gloss clear with UV protect and they use Matt or semi gloss clear. Race carbon is a different scenario as parts aren't made to last that long. BTW I'm not the seller.

Have you heard of sating finish clear engine enamel? Might be a solution for your needs as that's the only difference between a gloss and matt finish.

Then I'm afraid you'd be wrong unfortunately. When a TTY bolt is stretched the bolt material reaches it's yield point and deforms which actually work hardens the bolt and increases it's tensile strength slightly. Therefore retorquing a used one won't apply the required amount of stretch again to...
This is more likely to be related to oil viscosity which changes as the transmission heats up. The other reality is blocker/syncro rings like most mechanical stuff is variable in their fit and some grab the next gear better than others. Her's a video of how a blocker ring works and the...
You're not allowed to be a Boomer on this site without being harangued. Just because we worked hard, sacrificed when younger for a better future for ourselves and bought all the houses, lol.

We pretty much know what it actually is for I think. If you look at some old patent information from other manufacturers it's described as an "anti abuse" valve/mechanism. In my opinion it's there to help with people that like to repeatedly or as part of the "driving style" side step the clutch...
Not sure works for me. Try a manual search for this in Amazon. There are quite a few sellers and it will do pipes greater than 2 inches if you read the ratings
Tube Pipe Tubing Beader Tool Bead Roller For 5/8" + Intake and Intercooler Piping For Aluminum Titanium Copper (Black)
Shhh, you can't use logic like that when there's a bandwagon moving at full speed. I know I've tried the logic and engineering argument and the bandwagon ran me over:cry:
Manufacturing debris. There is no aluminium producing components in the gearbox apart from the housing. Unless it's steel from bearings or gears or copper/brass from syncro rings then aluminium can only be from one place and thats the gearbox casing and that wearing is totally remote unless...
I appreciate @Phlizza for the link but it's like other shop manuals these days in that it shows you nothing really you can't work out for yourself. I miss proper shop manuals that describe and show how to disassemble and rebuild the transmission for example. You can work out a lot of things from...
I think these things have a history of leaking eventually at some point so it's probably best to replace it anyway if the cost isn't outrageous. I'm assuming BMW doesn't sell the seals as a separate part here. There should be no reason to use RTV on the seals at all and if the housing is...
The discussion here isn't whether they "require" replacing at 24K it never has been, it's about what "Toyota" not BMW are contracted to do in a fixed price service at 24K klms. I'm supposing when you have a driveline issue with your Supra you're going to see BMW for warranty as well? lol. I do...
There's something intrinsically wrong to have a car running without anyone in it. Same goes for starting it. I'm old school but still hard enough to get into a cold car and bare it for 5 minutes till it warms up or cools down.
PS it gets to 0C where I live in the winter and 40C plus in summer...
Yea I hear you but sometimes it's just a matter of lodging a claim with consumer affairs Victoria and the hassle of a dispute resolution process makes them fold. You make it more expensive for them in time and effort to go through the process than it's worth for the costs involved.
Problem is...
@BMWAF you'll notice in paragraph 10 "Servicing inclusions" this
"A service performed on an eligible vehicle under the Program includes: i. All items listed in the service schedule (available from http:// www.toyota.com.au/owners/service or set out in the Warranty and Service Book for the...
So are you an Aussie? do you know Australian consumer law?
Here's a direct quote from Toyota Australias website on capped price servicing.
"We’ll give you an upfront capped price on your car’s servicing needs with no hidden costs. This includes the cost of parts and top-ups that need repairing...
