I can't speak to the Hawk Ceramic but for the Akebono versions for comparison, for the street, they are decent. The BIG pro is the dust is almost zero. My matte black wheels takes months before they get dirty from pad dust. BUT con, they take more heat and a bit more pedal to come to a stop.
