So how does femto do it? I guess we don't know or we'd be doing it but what is the guess? They have a rogue BMW engineer/mechanic that has an RSA key on his phone or key chain?
It's a natural consequence of wireless charging for all phones, its a very inefficient way to charge your phone. The wasted energy comes off as heat which is super bad for the phone battery + performance while its hot.
I opted to just get a magnetic phone mount for my phone, easier to grab/use...
Like I mentioned in my first post on this be prepared for an argument. It's a tried and true process by everyone from the dealer to Toyota. Just make it as hard as possible and hope you'll go away. This sort of thing just usually makes me more determined to follow it through but we have a low...
I don’t know much about the communication of data but I was thinking you get the canbus data to the iPhone via Bluetooth, etc and have the phone app push the data onto the car display through CarPlay - not sure how laggy that might be.
I never had an i phone yet but my next phone is finally gonna be one, and having it work with the Supra is a bonus/part of the reasons but not just that, only ever had Samsungs so I thought I'd give Apple a try.
...were the first thing I printed for my car. I haven't uploaded the files to Cults but I suppose I could do that if there is enough interest
Phone/tablet mount
-This part is similar to the proclip mount but not $50 for a piece of plastic. This is NOT my design but I can find it with a bit...
Everyone has their own preferences, of course, but I always recommend comparing phone features, not just specs. The Samsung phones, like the Ultra 23 are almost always a few steps ahead of Apple phones. I use my stylus, frequently and would never buy another phone without one. I guess I've been...
...used to the blind spots already on the supra
No HUD: Similar to BSM nice to have but not a deal breaker and was fine without it on my 2.0
Wire phone charging: Not needed and don't want my phone to overheat
Speakers: my 2.0 had the tech package which had the JBL which were already bad (better...
I finally got around to getting this installed by my local shop on my 2020 car, but noticed there’s now vibration/unsteadiness from the engine especially when it’s under load in the higher RPMs (~3000-5000 range) so I have a couple follow-ups if you don’t mind.
1. Which part number damper did...
...the opposite, after removing it, for me if it's jerky it's me being lazy and not paying attention. It was asked earlier for someone else, but you did get the whole gizmo out, right? The rubber piece and the metal collar over it both? I thought I had a picture of it on my phone but can't find it.
I contacted them multiple times and called, couldn't get a response by email and on the phone they told me to speak to the person I emailed... Who doesn't answer
via phone/bluetooth the wheel works fine the way id want it to, but via USB MP3s when you put it on all titles with shuffle on, the wheel doesn't function as it does for phone connect
The big tuners are definitely really difficult to reach. They have big projects, are on a time crunch, etc, so it kind of makes sense. It's all just word of mouth and who can convince you the most at this point.
LOL nah I get it, it's just it barely charges and it heats the fuck out my phone which causes apple carplay to lag or my phone to entirely just shut off. I prefer just charging it via cable since its faster too.
The Racechrono app does it if you record with the phone and log data via OBD2 via the phone.
If you do have separate data. Say... an AIM or RaceCapture device and record via a GoPro, the RaceRender app is good at merging the two and customizing the overlay...
